Media training – Honorable Response 2019 which was held on the base of II Infantry Brigade in Senaki has ended. Caucasus International University Multimedia Center journalists, seniors of Undergraduate Program in Journalism: Gvantsa Chargazia and Sopho Doreuli participated in the training together with other journalists.
The media training aims at developing the skills for journalists that will enable them to perform their professional work effectively under the conditions of hybrid challenges.
The training was first conducted in an interagency format involving the State Security Service.
The training was conducted under the supervision of the Department of Strategic Communications and Public Relations and with the active involvement of the Western Command.
The theoretical and practical components of the teaching in the second infantry brigade of the defense forces and military equipment, special operating forces, military police, combat engineering battalion, the medical department of the Defense Ministry of Social Affairs and Psychological Support Department, DIBS representatives and other relevant structures of the Ministry of Defense and defense forces were involved in the theoretical and practical components of the teaching.
The field simulation component was held in parallel with the informational component for three days, where trainees were able to directly see the action of individual military units and practically experience situations that they might encounter when covering war, including: chemical hazards, principles of work on explosive areas and security measures, communication with military equipment, and journalistic activities during various types of military operations, etc.
The training has been held for the third time and 21 acting and future journalists, photographers and camera-men have participated in it.
The participants of Honorable Response 2019 were awarded certificates upon the completion of the course.
