Caucasus International University (CIU) will host a large-scale international scientific conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship on February 9, 10 and 11
The aim of the high-level scientific event organized by CIU is to facilitate the development and internationalization of the latest scientific research on innovation and entrepreneurship in Georgia, in addition, to deepen the cooperation between the academic, public and business sectors and to promote it among young scientists.
About 140 participants from different countries are involved in the conference. The presenters are the representatives of such universities as University of Alcalá (Spain), Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Science (Estonia), Manisa Celal Bayar University (Turkey), IDRAC Business School (France), CREA University (Italy) and others.
State and private business structures of Georgia also participate in the work of the conference, including: National Bank of Georgia, “Produce in Georgia” project, Fintech Association of Georgia, Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency.
The international scientific conference includes 5 working sections alongside a plenary session: Modern Approaches to Entrepreneurship Development and Practical Challenges; Best Practices and Obstacles to the Development of an Entrepreneurial University; Radical and Incremental Innovations in Entrepreneurship; Innovations, Technology Transfer and Development of Technological Entrepreneurship; Scaling and Internationalization of Entrepreneurship.
The first day of the conference will be held at the Biltmore Tbilisi hotel, where the diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia, state and business sector representatives will take part in the opening ceremony. The working sections of the second day will be hosted by Caucasus International University, where it is also planned to exhibit and sell the products of entrepreneurs and partner organizations, and on the third day, the event will be hosted by Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.
The project is financed by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia. Caucasus International University is the host of the event, as well as the leading and co-funding organization of the project.
The participating organizations are: School of Entrepreneurship at the University of Alcalá (Spain) and Deggendorf Institute of Technology (Germany); The project partners are: “Produce in Georgia” agency, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Association (SMEDA), UN Global Compact Network Georgia, Financial Education Portal – “Finedu” and Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.
The papers of the selected presenters will be published in the online journal of Caucasus International University “International Journal of Social Sciences”, which is double-blind peer-reviewed journal with open access, funded by the university. The journal is a member of Crossref, articles are assigned a DOI and are visible in google scholar. A “special issue” will be published for the conference, which will be fully dedicated to research on innovation and entrepreneurship. The articles will be presented in two languages, Georgian and English.
